Hello

Since it's Mother's Day and I can do what I want (except for that pesky laundry!), I've been working on some cards. Here's one I started a few weeks ago and decided to finish up. I do this a lot. I get the main image or design down and then I set it aside and wait for some sort of inspiration (translate that to looking at someone else's work to get a great idea!) to complete it. Both images (the sitting girl and the stump) are from CC Designs. They are colored with Prismas and OMS. I cut her out and popped her onto the tree stump that I had cut out with a Nestie. All of the paper is DCWV Latte Stack. I also used some punches (MS deep lattice border punch, MS branch, and EK Success tiny butterfly). The flowers are from the M's wedding department shaded with eggplant chalk ink. You get tons of these flowers in this cute little pail that would be a great item to alter later. I layered 2 together and fastened them with some mini brads. The sentiment is cut my Cricut and Stamping Solutions cartridge. I hope everyone has a fabulous Mother's Day - doing what you love and being with the ones you love.

  5. Oh, I love the colors on this Kris! That rich purple with greens and browns...yummy! And that image is adorable! I think I would be tempted to draw a mouth on her, though! hee hee! I've got to remember to check the wedding section for those flowers! It's one of those items you always mean to pick up, but then get home and see it on someone's blog and realized you forgot it AGAIN!
