Love You Muchly

So first I have to tell you a story. I get home from work on Wednesday and there is this big 14"x14" Priority Mail box from AddictedtoRubberStamps. Well, I know I only ordered 3 stamps and a 6"x6" Basic Gray paper pad. So DH is already thinking "what did she buy this time?". He doesn't really care - just likes to give me a hard time. Well, I order from these people quite a bit and so I usually get something free every time. One of the free items this time was a 12"x12" sheet of paper so they had to put that on cardboard (their paper always comes pristine - no ragged edges/corners!) and then throw in the other items. I got this huge box all because of one piece of paper! I just thought it was funny. Anyway...here is a new line (to me at least!) from My Favorite Things called Pure Innocence and they are the cutest stamps! I just had to have this one as I love the sentiment. She is called Flower Girl.

I pulled this paper out of my stash and it looked so soft and sweet that I decided to stamp my image on watercolor paper and color her with watercolors. I haven't used them for ages, but it really is just like riding a bike. I used a Fiskar's border punch on the left-hand side of the card and put down a strip of the same paper on the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment on a coordinating striped paper and added some little Jolee's vellum flowers (they are not quite so blue in real life!) and leafy stems. I think I'll be buying some more of these stamps. If I don't get back I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day. Whether you're a Mom or not, you deserve to be happy!
