Polkadoodles Challenge - Sew & Sew

Of course when I saw Lou post this challenge I was trembling in my flip-flops! I an definitely sewing-challenged. Oh, I have a machine - what self-respecting Midwest gal doesn't get one from her Mom when she goes out on her own? Just because it's over 30 years old and has been used more by my BFF (when hers was on the blink!) than by me is no excuse. Well, I didn't break out the machine, but I did manage to actually stitch on my card and I'm right proud of the fact that I threaded the needle and managed to keep the thread in the needle while stitching the flower stems with embroidery floss.

Then I did some faux stitching around the card (I did actually punch the holes and connect the dots!). This cute little fox, background paper and sentiment are all from the new All Around & Everywhere CD. I did distress the edges of the background paper but it doesn't show up too well in this photo. Anyway...I made it through another challenge and feel pretty good about the sewing. We'd love to have you come play along with us this week. Just remember that there must be some sewing on the card - faux or the real thing. Just hit the link for the Polkadoodles Challenge over on the right.
