I had plenty of time to finish this, this morning. Our Labs are not quite 2 years old yet and the typical Lab pedigree calls for the puppy stage to last a minimum of 2-3 years (HELP!). This morning they decided that the planters in the backyard should be their personal buffet. Here is Bronko's choice. Poor little cantaloupe didn't have a chance.
Needless to say, they have been in time-out for about an hour now and I had time to make this little card. There are some great new releases over at Unity Stamp Company this weekend (I love that their weekend lasts from Thursday through Monday!) and there are some from the oh-so talented Phyllis Harris.
This image is one of hers from a while back called Hold Your Hand. The cloud is also hers from the Happiness is... set. The sentiment is from the Unity Miss You So Much card sentiment kit. She is colored with markers (several manufacturers). The papers are from Michael's and I cut two identical floral panels and fussy cut the bottom off of one of them to form the pocket to slip this adorable little girl and sentiment into.
I'm going to play along with Friends With Flair today. Enjoy!
Cute card. Really like how you layered.
ReplyDeleteVery cute card.
ReplyDeleteLove that stamp, and you did an awesome job on your card!
ReplyDeleteDogs...gotta love them..even when they misbehave!
I love how your little girl and sentiment slip into your flowers. Very pretty! One of my Goldens eats cantaloupe, squash, tomatoes, bananas, red peppers, broccoli, you get the idea. Strange dogs!
ReplyDeleteSuper cuteness!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card, and I love how she and the sentiment are tucked nicely into all the flowers!!
ReplyDeleteShe's very sweet! I'll bet that cantaloupe was too! ha ha
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute. beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteHow could you be mad at those cute faces? Funny story though. This is the sweetest stamping Kris. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous design, I love the sweet floral paper and your fussy cutting to suit your layout. The image is so sweet too. Don't you just love the puppy stage......we had to fence in our veggie patch as the tomatoes and strawberries never saw the light of day while our dog could get at them.

This card is COMPLETELY gorgeous in EVERY way!!! LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteI am giggling at how cleanly your pup at that cantaloupe. If part of the rind wasn't missing, I would have thought a human ate it. While I, as a doggie parent myself, do not support the act itself, I do support the choice of healthy eating ;) Hee hee!
The card is too cute!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card! Love your choice of stamps!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! Love how you added layers and dimension! Well, at least your puppy chose something healthy to eat. :) Our dog used to grab my young plumeria tree and run around the yard with it in his mouth, like it was a flag. Furry friends can do the funniest things... :) Hope he stays away from the rest of your canteloupes!
