Beauty

Hi everyone!  This will be a quick post as I'm off to Phoenix for a weekend of card-making with my BFF from here in Tucson and 2 lovely ladies who live in Phoenix.  There is usually a third from here in Tucson but gosh darn!, she just happens to be in Cancun...feel so bad for her.

Anyway, I'm trying to keep my streak of playing along with Unity's FWF alive even if this is just a short post.  I made this card out of watercolor paper.  When I got my February KOTM I just knew this floral image would be perfect for a watercolor technique.  I stamped the floral image, masked it, then stamped the graphic/sentiment behind it.  I colored the image using Tim Holtz distress markers and a water brush.  When I was done, I just felt like it needed something (always my problem with one-layer cards-LOL) so I stamped the birds in the upper left area and added some rhinestones.  I think this balances the card a bit.

    I love this...so pretty. Isn't it fun watercoloring with Tim Holtz's markers? I love doing that. Have fun on your play weekend. I'm jealous. I need to go on outings like that. Stay safe.
