5 for 5 Christmas - Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 (the last) of our 5 for 5 Christmas Blog Event. Today our theme is "Tree". We are all sharing a project where we use a tree in our project. Each day our 5 Designers will post a Christmas Inspired Project based on a theme.

Here is my card featuring 2 trees.

The main part of this card is (of course!) the trees.  They are Sizzix Tim Holtz Trees Dies.  I die-cut them each twice from watercolor paper.  The bottom ones, I intentionally left the interiors parts in, while fully cutting the top ones.  I then smooshed on some distress ink (Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles) and misted them with water.  I added a bit of Gathered Twigs to the trunks of the top trees and then glued them together.  The background is Stormy Sky distress ink and also some Heidi Swapp White Color Shine.  The sentiment is from the Unity Stamp Company September KOTM.

5 for 5 Christmas - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of our 5 for 5 Christmas Blog Event. Today our theme is "Tag". We are all sharing a project where we create or use a tag in some way.  Each day our 5 Designers will post a Christmas Inspired Project based on a theme.

Here is my tag.

I first cut my tag using a manila tag as a template.  Then I used distress ink (Stormy Sky and Frayed Burlap) with my stencil (Memory Box-Garden Birch Trees) to create the background.  I added a bit of shading on the trees with colored pencils and sprayed some white shimmer mist over the entire tag.  I die-cut some little birdies (Impression Obsession) and added them to the trees.  The little alpaca and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn.  I finished it all off with a half-circle at the top and some ribbon.

I hope you'll return tomorrow for our last day of inspiration when we feature "trees".

5 for 5 Christmas - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our 5 for 5 Christmas Blog Event. Today our theme is "one layer". We are all sharing a project where we use only one layer in our project. Each day our 5 Designers will post a Christmas Inspired Project based on a theme.

Here is my card featuring one layer.

The image is from C.C.Designs and the sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company - Magic of Christmas kit.  I stamped them on a watercolor paper base and colored with distress markers and a water brush - that's it!  It was really kind of hard to leave it just like this :)

5 for 5 Christmas - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of our 5 for 5 Christmas Blog Event. Today our theme is "Religious". We are all sharing a project where we use a religious theme. Each day our 5 Designers will post a Christmas Inspired Project based on a theme.

Here is my card featuring a wonderful angel and one of my favorite bible verses.

This image is from Unity Stamp Company.  I stamped it three times...first on the die-cut circle, then twice on scraps of watercolor paper.  I fussy-cut the entire 2nd image and attached her only at the body, bending her wings forward.  I fussy cut the 3rd image without the wings and popped her head up to make her appear to be looking up.  She is colored with distress markers.  As you can see, I mounted her on a gold doily adhered to some layered papers.

Here's the list of the other 4 girls participating.

5 for 5 Christmas - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of our 5 for 5 Christmas Blog Event. Today our theme is "Glitter". We are all sharing a project where we use glitter in some form. Each day our 5 Designers will post a Christmas Inspired Project based on a theme.

Here is my card featuring glitter tape and Stickles.

All of the images are from Unity Stamp Company.  The poinsettia images are from one of their older KOTM and the sentiment is from the Magic of Christmas kit.  I stamped the sentiment, masked it off, and then stamped the images.  They are colored with Prismacolor pencils.  When I was done coloring, I added the glitter tape and then Stickles in the centers of the flowers.
