Polkadoodles Challenge Week 17

Time for another fun challenge over at Polkadoodles. Ruth - guest designer/hostess extraordinaire has given us another fun one this week...anything but a card! Pop over to the site HERE to check out all of the fabulous projects the DT made this week. We participate in an ornament exchange every year and so I thought I'd get a start on that. I used papers and sentiments from the Jingle Jangle CD. The ornament is simply 3 strips of patterned paper, 2" x ~ 8". I used a Fiskar's border punch, scored at each "valley", accordion folded, and then glued them end-to-end. Then take a needle and thread (I use embroidery floss) and run through the inside edge and pull tight to form the circle. Be sure to cut your hanger (ribbon from stash) and sandwich it in the opening before your final gluing. I cut an additional scalloped circle from the same plaid to finish off the back and then added the sentiments. I use an ample amount of very strong paper adhesive - maybe using low-temp glue with the glue gun would work also? Thanks for dropping in.
