Another quick card using my Cricut and A Child's Year. My neighbor loaned me some books by one of our favorite author's a few weeks ago. I'm ready to return them and felt a thank-you card was in order. This is the perfect image. I cut her at 3" and the book icon @ 1.25". Since the background paper (K&Company) is pretty busy, I hand-cut a backing for the icon. I added a tree from from my SYI cart and then computer-generated the sentiment. I must thank Saskia (check out her blog HERE ) for the inspiration on my sentiment presentation. I just printed the words with plenty of space between them and then made several folds between the words, did some inking and some faux stitching on the top and bottom...love this look. Thanks for dropping by.
What a fitting thank you. I love the silhouette against the patterned paper. Very cool way to do the sentiment too. I'll definitely remember that. She'll love this Kris! xxD

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thank you card, Kris. I love it. I haven't paid enough attention the ACY cart, methinks.
