YEA!, it's Friday. It's been a rather relaxing week back from vacation (once all those mounds of laundry were done). What I want to know is why does time away always go so fast? It seems you arrive at your destination and then suddenly it's time to leave. Not fair!
Today I made a shaped card using a die from Docrafts (Rectangle Parenthesis #2). I made a standard card, placed the die above the fold and cut it. I then used the same die to cut the patterned paper which extends above the fold so all you see is the entire diecut. I used the next smallest die to cut both black and white pieces. Now, here comes the fun part. Have you ever die-cut a diecut? I took the white piece and die-cut it again using a die from Spellbinders Labels 10 (take care to line it up evenly to preserve the symmetry). When layered over the black piece, it gives you a very unique frame.
I stamped the girl image from the Phyllis Harris I Will Give You My Heart kit and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. Before adhering her with foam tape, I tied some twine around the card. I added a sentiment I received from a Unity grab bag I won playing along with Friends With Flair.
I will be playing along with Friends With Flair again today. Hope you enjoy!
I love Phyllis Harris images. You have coloured this beautifully. TFS this gorgeous creation
