Not Easy

WOW!, the last month has certainly been a whirlwind.  Four days in the beautiful city of Seattle, then an Alaskan cruise up to Glacier Bay, then back home for two days before taking my 84 year-old Father to my nephew's high school graduation in Dallas.  I'm getting too old for that much all at once.

Now that I've had this week to get things back in order, I'm ready to play with Unity Friends with Flair again.  I had tons of new stamps (2 orders) waiting for me when I got home and with so much to choose from, well! I decided on the Queen of the Universe Itty-Bitty designed by Joslyn Nielson.

It's a simple card.  I trimmed down a journaling card, stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink, and heat-embossed with black powder.  I wrapped the card with ribbon and tied a bow and then adhered it to a piece of patterned paper (Basic Grey).  I stamped the image on white cardstock, colored her, trimmed her closely, and adhered her to the journaling card.  I trimmed the bottom off of another journaling card, matted it with cardstock, and adhered it toward the bottom of the panel. I then adhered the entire panel to the card base with foam tape.  To finish, I scattered a few gems around. ENJOY!

Did you enjoy the cruise or would you recommend it? My family is looking into doing an Alaskan cruise next summer, but they've never cruised before (and i've only done one!) so if you have any tips i would be happy to hear them! thanks!
